Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 August 2026
These Terms govern your use of opentalk.buzz, a service that connects you with a random stranger for a live, anonymous text chat. By using opentalk.buzz, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use opentalk.buzz. By using the service, you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not independently verify age at signup — there is no signup — but if we later determine, from your conversation content or otherwise, that you are under 18, we will block your access.
What opentalk.buzz is
opentalk.buzz pairs you with a random other user for a text-based conversation. There are no accounts. Matching may take into account a gender preference you optionally provide, and — at our discretion — a specific "priority" partner an administrator has configured for your identifier to be matched with first when available. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Your conduct
You agree not to, while using opentalk.buzz:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or attempt to harm anyone you're matched with.
- Share sexual content involving minors, or solicit or send such content in any form — this is reported to the relevant authorities where required by law.
- Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity in a way intended to defraud or harm someone.
- Use the service if you are under 18.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the service's moderation, security, or matching systems.
- Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access or interact with the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
You are solely responsible for what you say and share in your conversations.
Monitoring and enforcement
We store the full content of conversations conducted on opentalk.buzz, and administrators may review stored conversations — proactively, or in response to a report — to enforce these Terms, investigate misconduct, and maintain the safety of the service. See our Privacy Policy for details on what's stored and for how long.
We reserve the right, but do not guarantee, to restrict, suspend, or block access for any user who we believe has violated these Terms, is under 18, or otherwise poses a risk to others on the service — with or without prior notice.
Reporting
If someone you're matched with violates these Terms, you can report them using the in-chat report button. Reports are reviewed by administrators; submitting a report does not guarantee any specific outcome.
If you are reported
If another user reports you, an administrator may review the conversation and any call recordings from it. Where a call took place, the recording of that call — which is made with your knowledge and an on-screen indicator, as described in our Privacy Policy — is retained for as long as needed for that review.
To continue using opentalk.buzz after a report, we may ask you to complete a short verification: a single photo and a brief voice clip, captured from your device. Verification is always with your consent — your browser asks your permission first, and nothing is captured unless you allow it and confirm. We will tell you, at the time, that the capture is happening and that it is because you were reported. You can decline; if you do, we may end your access to the service. We never switch on your camera or microphone without a permission prompt and your explicit confirmation.
No warranty
opentalk.buzz is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not vet, verify, or endorse any user you may be matched with, and we cannot guarantee the accuracy of anything another user tells you, their real age, or their intentions. You use the service, and interact with anyone you're matched with, at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, opentalk.buzz and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or from the conduct of any user you're matched with — whether based in contract, tort, or otherwise.
Termination
We may restrict or end your access to opentalk.buzz at any time, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms, without notice.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. Continued use of opentalk.buzz after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction not yet configured], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
